Please call Hospice Quality Care, Inc. at any time for questions regarding the Medicare Hospice Benefit or hospice benefit under private insurance programs. For those patients who do not have Medicare or private insurance, hospice services will still be provided regardless of the patient's ability to pay. Due to very limited bed availability, we are unable to do direct admissions on new patients to the Hospice Inpatient Center unless they are Medicare Part A or Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance.

 

All patients must meet hospice admission criteria for their terminal diagnosis. All patients must have a physician’s order for hospice; Medicare now requires online verification of the hospice Medicare benefit before admission to hospice. Most insurance companies also require precertification for hospice care and some insurance companies require that beneficiaries use in-network hospice providers. Therefore, it is important to begin the hospice referral process early, during business hours, if possible.
